THANK FOOD COMPANIES FOR LABELING GMOS!

Nine of every 10 Americans want foods made with genetically engineered ingredients to be labeled – and Big Food companies are finally listening.

Campbell’s Soup Company, General Mills, Kellogg Company, ConAgra Foods and Mars, Inc. all recently announced plans to introduce clear labeling on the package of products containing GMOs. This is a HUGE win for consumers in the fight for more transparency, and these corporations deserve our applause.

Join EWG in thanking these food companies for listening to consumers and labeling GMOs!

TELL NAIL POLISH BRANDS TO STOP USING ENDOCRINE-DISRUPTING CHEMICALS

An endocrine-disrupting chemical known as triphenyl phosphate (TPHP) is used to make plastics and as a fire retardant in foam furniture. So what’s it doing in nail polish – or in your body?

Besides disrupting hormones, scientific evidence shows that TPHP may contribute to weight gain and obesity. In other words, it should have no place in cosmetics.

Sign the petition today: Join EWG in urging nail polish makers to remove TPHP from their products now.

TELL FOOD COMPANIES TO STOP USING POTASIUM BROMATE IN THEIR PRODUCTS NOW

An analysis from EWG has found potassium bromate – a food additive that’s been linked to cancer – in more than 86 baked goods and other food products.

Research has shown it can damage DNA in human liver and intestinal cells. In animal studies, it’s been linked to cancer and development of tumors.

Sign EWG’s petition today urging food companies to stop using this possible cancer-causing additive in their food products immediately!
