Alexa is an environmental epidemiologist interested in reducing exposure to harmful chemicals. Before joining EWG, Alexa completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the National Institute of Environmental Sciences, where she focused on the reproductive effects of exposure to chemicals in consumer products. 

Alexa completed her doctorate in environmental health at Boston University School of Public Health, with a concentration in environmental epidemiology. Her dissertation focused on early-life exposure to metals and their association with children’s neurodevelopment. Alexa completed a Bachelor of Science in human health sciences from the University of Connecticut.

In her free time, Alexa enjoys reading, traveling and finding the best places for coffee and pastries.
