Get to know our teams

Meet EWG’s Healthy Living Science Team

EWG rates more than 200,000 products through our large consumer safety databases. From cosmetics to cleaners to food – we want you to find products that contain ingredients that are safe. Given the current weak regulation on the products we use every day, we have stepped in to make sure you – the consumer – are educated about what you’re exposing yourself to daily and what the potential impact is of those exposures. Learn from EWG’s Healthy Living Science team how you can reduce your exposures, and where to start your clean journey. You will be able to submit questions for the team to answer about the work we do.

Meet EWG’s Advocacy Team

Ever wonder about the role Washington plays in regulating the products we use every day? Or why certain chemicals are banned in other countries but not here?

From cosmetics reform to California legislative priorities, to pesticide regulations to PFAS legislative efforts to organic standards and sunscreen rules – we fight for regulations to ensure your health is protected. Learn from EWG’s advocacy team about the state of play when it comes to the many legislative efforts we’re following, what we can expect from the Biden administration and our 2021 policy agenda. You’ll be able to submit questions for the team to answer about the work we do.

Meet EWG’s Science and Investigations Team

EWG starts with science. It’s critical we first know how we’re exposed to chemicals of concern in order to translate this information for the consumer. Each year, EWG conducts new tests and sets health-based standards for hundreds of chemicals and contaminants found in everyday products and our environment. From glyphosate in your hummus to asbestos in your makeup to pesticides on your produce and carcinogens in your drinking water – learn from EWG’s Science and Investigations Team what we are finding in the products we use every day, and what that means for your health. You will be able to submit questions for the team to answer about the work we do.

Meet EWG’s Agriculture Analysis Team

How we grow food has a profound effect on our health, climate and quality of life. Industrial farming practices pollute the air we breathe, the water we drink and the food we eat and feed our families.

Ask our EWG Agriculture team about their innovative use of big data and satellites to reveal agriculture's true impact on the environment, and their view of what a more sustainable farming system would look like. From mapping agricultural pollution in our drinking water to raising the alarm about farming and the climate crisis, our goal is a healthier and more sustainable food system. You’ll be able to submit questions for the team to answer about the work we do.
