Ingredients from the label

Ingredients: Contains biodegradable fabric softening agents (cationic).

Directions from Packaging

Directions: Use cap to measure. Fill cap to 1st line for regular loads. Fill cap to 3rd line for large loads. For extra softness, fill cap to 4th line. Use less for smaller loads and for hand washing. Add directly to final rinse. If using machine dispenser, pour in up & up liquid fabric softener and dilute with water to keep dispenser clean. If spotting occurs, wet fabric, rub spot with a mild bar soap and rinse or rewash the item. Freezing temperatures may cause liquid fabric softeners to thicken. If this occurs, dissolve recommended amount in one cup of warm water before using.

CAUTION: Do not get in eyes. Do not take internally. FIRST AID: EYES –FLUSH with water 10-15 minutes. If irritation persists, call a physician. INTERNALLY –GIVE large amounts of water or milk. Call a physician. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. up & up liquid fabric softener is not for use on children’s sleepwear or other garments labeled as flame resistant as it may reduce flame resistance. Some cotton-containing fluffier fabrics, like fleece and terry cloth, can be made more flammable by using liquid fabric softeners. Therefore, do not use this product on clothing made with these types of fabrics.

Understanding scores

EWG provides information on cleaning product ingredients from the published scientific literature, to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government. The ratings indicate the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product - not the product itself - compared to other product formulations. The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.

Hazard score

The Healthy Cleaning ingredient hazard score, from A to F, reflects known and suspected hazards linked to the ingredients. The EWG VERIFIED® mark means a product meets EWG’s strictest criteria for transparency and health.
