Monobromoacetic acid

Belmont Water Department/north

NOTE: Belmont Water Department/north purchases water from Laconia Water Works which is required to test for monobromoacetic acid. Sample information shown below was taken by Laconia Water Works.

Monobromoacetic acid, one of the group of five haloacetic acids regulated by federal standards, is formed when chlorine or other disinfectants are used to treat drinking water.
