Born and raised in Minnesota, Andy grew up with a love for the environment and a deep belief in good stewardship. He spends much of his time outdoors camping, canoeing and hunting. His passion for the natural world led him to study at Minnesota State University, Mankato, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in geography specializing in Geographic Information Science (GIS). He then worked as an analyst for a precision agriculture company, using GIS to help farmers be better stewards of the land. He later joined a water resources organization as a GIS specialist focusing on watershed and terrain analysis to improve water quality and soil health. At EWG, Andy hopes to use mapping and spatial statistics to help improve the environment for everyone to enjoy.
