The Award for Most Hypocritical Performance in Congress Goes to…

The CATO Institute released a blog today that reiterates how hypocritical the statements made by Rep. Stephen Fincher (R-Tenn.) were during the House Agriculture Committee’s markup of the farm bill.  Rep. Fincher strongly supports $20 billion in cuts to SNAP, though has received over $3 million in farm subsidies since 1999.  And in 2012 alone- received $70,000 in direct payments- nearly double the median income in the state he represents.
