Directions from Packaging

Dilute this liquid soap! Dilute more if you are using it on your body or face, but less if you are using it on dishes or elsewhere in the house. Experiment to see what works best. Use this concentrate to refill our Foaming Liquid Soap bottles. See Foaming bottles for instructions. Soap may become cloudy at low temperatures. Due to the nature of organic ingredients there may be some variation in color or clarity from batch to batch. "Free fatty acids" (also known as unsaponified oils) are part of what gives our soaps their moisturizing properties. Some of these free fatty acids may settle to the bottom of the bottle over time. If settling occurs, shake bottle. Recipes: Floor Cleaner 1/8 cup Ballard Organics All-Purpose Concentrated Liquid Soap, 1/4 to 1/2 cup white distilled vinegar or lemon juice, 1 gallon hot water. Combine ingredients in a pail or bucket. Swirl the water around until it is sudsy. Proceed as usual. Shelf life: Discard after use. Scouring Powders- Non-Abrasive Soft Scrubber 1/4 cup Borax, Ballard Organics All-Purpose Concentrated Liquid Soap, 1/2 tsp lemon oil. In a bowl, mix the Borax with enough soap to form a creamy paste. Toilet Bowl Cleaner A squirt of Ballard Organics All-Purpose Concentrated Liquid Soap and baking soda or Borax. Scrub with a toilet brush. Oven Cleaner 2 Tbsp baking soda, 2 Tbsp Ballard Organics All-Purpose Concentrated Liquid Soap, 10 drops sweet orange, lemon, or lime essential oil, 1/2 cup hot water. Brush carpet up and allow it to dry completely- use a fan if needed. For Flea and Tick Removal 1/2 cup dried rosemary OR 1 cup fresh, 1 qt boiling water, Ballard Organics All-Purpose Concentrated Liquid Soap. Make an herbal rinse by adding rosemary to boiling water and let steep for 20 minutes. Strain and cool water. Understanding scores

EWG provides information on cleaning product ingredients from the published scientific literature, to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government. The ratings indicate the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product - not the product itself - compared to other product formulations. The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.

HOW WE DETERMINE SCORES

Hazard score

The Healthy Cleaning ingredient hazard score, from A to F, reflects known and suspected hazards linked to the ingredients. The EWG VERIFIED® mark means a product meets EWG’s strictest criteria for transparency and health.
