EWG analysis determined that thousands of schools sat within the toxic “drift” zone of corn and soybean fields that might be sprayed with a toxic chemical linked to Parkinson’s and non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. EWG’s Mary Ellen Kustin organized 35 doctors and scientists to write to the Obama administration, urging rejection of Dow AgroSciences’ Enlist Duo, a pesticide mix of 2,4-D and glyphosate.
