PFCs have been detected in the blood of humans on 3 continents. PFCs have also been detected in wildlife in more than in 3 of 4 continents tested, in 14 of 14 countries tested, in 76 of the 98 species tested, from polar bears in Alaska, to Albatrosses in the wildlife refuge in Midway Atoll.
