Results from tests of store-bought farmed salmon show seven of 10 fish were so contaminated with PCBs that they raise cancer risk
Salmon farming has made salmon the third most popular fish in America — and comprises 22 percent of all retail seafood counter sales. However, research shows that farmed salmon are likely the most PCB-contaminated protein source for people in the U.S.
