Dr. Lanphear is the director of the Cincinnati Children's Environmental Health Center. His studies of lead-contaminated house dust and residential soil were used to help establish a federal standard for lead in residential dwellings.

Lead Expert, Dr. Kim Dietrich, 513/558-0531
Dr. Dietrich is a Professor of Environmental Health and Pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. His lead research is focused on the effects of prenatal and early postnatal exposure to lead on the neurobehavioral development of children from birth through young adulthood.

Ms. Gillam is currently a senior Housing Attorney with the Legal Aid Society of Greater Cincinnati. Her primary responsibilities include all aspects of legal advocacy on behalf of low-income families and the condition of their housing.

Mr. Greenberg is Executive Director of Environmental Health Watch, http://www.ehw.org, which provides information, assistance and advocacy on housing-related health hazards such as lead poisoning, asthma and pesticide exposure.

Ohio Parents and Activists

Ms. Harris is the Executive Director of a statewide advocacy group called Ohio HELP (Help End Lead Poisoning). Their aim is to eliminate childhood lead poisoning through identification, testing and primary prevention.

Ms. Howell is a Perry County resident and the parent of three lead poisoned children. Her experience inspired her to work with Ohio Help End Lead Poisoning and found a parents' network called Voices of Children Affected by Lead: http://www.vocalnow.org.
