Report: 85% Of Sunscreens May Not Live Up To Claims

Before slathering on the sunscreen this July Fourth, you'll want to check it. The Environmental Working Group says 85 percent of sunscreens don't fully protect against the sun's harmful rays or contain ingredients that may be unsafe. Researchers looked at the ingredients of 950 name-brand sunscreens. Of those, only 142 made the list of recommended products. Some of the best ratings went to products from companies like Blue Lizard, California Baby, CVS, Olay and Walgreens. Click here to find out more! The ingredient Oxybenzone is a popular ultra violet light filter. The Food and Drug Administration says it is safe.
