Experts Say Most Top-Selling Sunscreen Not Effective

An environmental group, and the skincare industry are at loggerheads amidst claims of some sunscreens being ineffective or laden with dangerous chemicals. The Environmental Working Group (EWG) recently released report indicates that only 15 percent of sunscreens are meeting the standards for effective sun protection. According to EWG, these products provide “broad spectrum protection”, which means that they protect against both types of radiation, UVA and UVB. In addition, the 15 percent also contains safe ingredients based on the Group’s research. Click here to read this post.
