Many U.S. households contain dust with high levels of polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs), according to an Environmental Working Group study released today (Lisa Stiffler, Seattle Post-Intelligencer, May 12). Nine of 10 household dust samples had average levels of 4,600 parts per billion (ppb) of PBDE, the report states.
