EWG Celebrates 2nd Annual Chris Campbell Award Reception

Hollie Russon Gilman, the former White House advisor on open government and innovation, is this year’s recipient of EWG’s Chris Campbell Award  for public service and technological creativity.

Gilman holds M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Harvard University and is a fellow at the Open Technology Institute of the New America Foundation, New York University’s Governance Lab and the Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation at Harvard’s John F. Kennedy School of Government.

Last year’s recipient was Michael Silberman of the Digital Mobilisation Lab at Greenpeace.

The award, launched last year, commemorates Chris Campbell’s 20 years with EWG.

Campbell, EWG’s vice president for technology, oversees EWG’s many online databases and research projects. He has used his gift for creativity and technology to fight for public health and keep EWG’s work on the forefront of technology.
