TELL COKE & DEL MONTE: NO MORE BPA IN THEIR PRODUCTS!
Last week food and chemical lobbyists met in Washington, DC to save BPA - they're desperate to block state and federal efforts to regulate their $6 billion industry.
We were shocked when we read their 
internal meeting memos, which revealed a dangerous and unethical strategy to keep your family eating and drinking from BPA-laden containers - despite the mounting scientific evidence that exposure to even extremely low levels of BPA can impact health, particularly during early infancy.
TAKE ACTION! Tell Coke and Del Monte that their tactics are dangerous and unethical and you want the BPA gone.
Since 2003, the number of mining claims within five miles of Grand Canyon National Park has increased from 10 to more then 1,100. These claims threaten our national heritage, as well as the drinking water of millions in the Southwest. Secretary Salazar just approved more and we want him to start saying "no."
TAKE ACTION! Tell Sec. Salazar to protect the Grand Canyon and Colorado River.
LESS ROCKET FUEL IN OUR WATER, PLEASE!
Reduce infants' exposure to rocket fuel in powdered formula. Researchers from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have reported that 15 brands of powdered infant formula are contaminated with perchlorate, a rocket fuel component detected in drinking water in 28 states and territories.
TAKE ACTION! Tell EPA you deserve safe drinking water.
LESS MERCURY IN OUR LIGHTBULBS, PLEASE!
Tell Energy Star: Lower the mercury content in CFLs. Energy Star allows its seal on compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFL) that contain up to 5 times as much mercury as a state of the art bulb. Write to the Energy Star program to tell them that you want the seal to go hand-in-hand with the best technology available.
TAKE ACTION! Send an email to the EPA Energy Star program to reduce mercury in CFLs.
