Internship - Public Affairs/Media Support Intern

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill a part-time (20 hours), unpaid internship that will assist in creating and implementing a successful public affairs strategy. This internship will provide an opportunity to learn the ins and outs of media outreach in a non-profit by gaining knowledge about the unique strategy employed by our Public Affairs Department.

Internship - Natural Resources

Environmental Working Group seeks an intern to help protect Western public lands from reckless oil and gas drilling and to promote agriculture and biofuels policies that safeguard water, soil and wildlife. Last year, our interns helped author a report on toxic oil and gas drilling chemicals that received coverage on National Public Radio among other outlets, wrote an op-ed piece that was published in two newspapers in upstate New York, attended Congressional hearings and drafted memos for Congressional staff. We anticipate another busy and rewarding internship this year.

Internship - Government Affairs

EWG seeks a Government Affairs intern to help shape policy that will protect public health and the environment on a broad range of issues.

Internship - General Research

EWG’s Research Intern will work in a fast-paced environment, assisting the Research team to construct online consumer product databases for which EWG is recognized. They will enter and review data on consumer product ingredients and hazards, among other essential research tasks involved in publishing solid information on safer products for consumers.

The Research Intern will both see how a project develops from an idea to completion, and get first-hand experience of the inner workings of a successful not-for-profit organization.
