Read what's on your label. Other formulations may exist on the market. [See the ingredients used for this report.]
Label directions: Apply liberally on the face and neck prior to sun exposure. Some doctors recommend applying sun screen the night before and again in the morning to build up a reservoir of sun protection in the skin. Reapply every 90 minutes or after swimming, excessive perspiring or anytime after towel drying.
Label warnings: Warning - Keep out of eyes. Rinse with water to remove. Stop and ask a doctor if skin rash or irritation persists.

About the ratings

EWG provides information on sunscreen products from the published scientific literature, to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government. The ratings indicate both efficacy and the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product - not the product itself - compared to other sunscreens. The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.
