Label directions: Apply a thin even layer of Solbar Shield to all sun exposed areas of dry skin 15-20 minutes before sun exposure and massage gently until clear sheen appears. Allow to dry. Avoid contact with clothing until sunscreen is dry. Reapply to dry skin after prolonged swimming, outdoors physical activity, excessive perspiration or towel drying. Dermatologists recommend reapplying sunscreen during prolonged sun exposure every 2 hours. Sun Alert: Limiting sun exposure, wearing protective clothing and using sunscreen may reduce the risk of skin aging, skin cancer and other harmful effects of the sun. Avoid exposing product to extreme heat and/or cold conditions.
Label warnings: For external use only. When using this product avoid contact with eyes. If irritation occurs, rinse with water. Discontinue use and seek medical assistance if skin irritation or rash develops. Keep out of reach of children. For use on children under 6 months of age consult a doctor. About the ratings

EWG provides information on sunscreen products from the published scientific literature, to supplement incomplete data available from companies and the government. The ratings indicate both efficacy and the relative level of concern posed by exposure to the ingredients in this product - not the product itself - compared to other sunscreens. The ratings reflect potential health hazards but do not account for the level of exposure or individual susceptibility, factors which determine actual health risks, if any.
